Page Builder Display Issues
When you build your product page with a page builder such as Creative Elements or AP Page Builder, the Estimated Delivery message may not appear — even though the module is installed, the delivery date is configured, and the required hook is in place. This guide explains why it happens and how to fix it without any code.
Available since v3.7.5
Overview
By default, the module renders only one instance of the delivery message per product page. This guard exists so the message is never printed twice when a theme fires the same hook more than once.
Some page builders construct the product page in two passes: they first output a placeholder, then run a second render process to fill in its contents. The module sees the second render as a repeat of the first and suppresses it — so the delivery message silently disappears from the page.
This only affects the standard hook-based display on the product page. It is a different topic from placing the widget in custom locations, which is covered in Widget & Page Builder Integration.
The Fix
Turn on a single setting to allow the module to render more than once per product page:
- Open the module and go to Advanced → Compatibility.
- Enable Enable multiple instances on Product Page.
- Save, then reload a product page on your storefront to confirm the delivery message now appears.
That is all that is required — no template edits and no code changes.
Automatic reminder: When the module detects that Creative Elements or AP Page Builder is active on your store, it shows a notice on its settings page — "You seem to be using a page builder module…" — with a "click here to activate it" link that turns this setting on for you in one click.
How It Works
While the setting is off, the first hook that fires on the product page marks the delivery message as "already displayed", and every later call on the same page is skipped. When you enable Enable multiple instances on Product Page, that lock is removed, so each hook the page builder fires is allowed to render.
The module also checks whether a known page builder is installed and enabled (currently Creative Elements and AP Page Builder). When one is detected and the setting is still off, it surfaces the reminder notice described above so you are not left guessing why the message is missing.
Important Notes
- PrestaShop 1.7+ only. This setting has no effect on PrestaShop 1.6.
- Auto-detected builders: the reminder notice fires for Creative Elements and AP Page Builder. Other page builders that render the page in two passes can hit the same issue — the fix is identical, you just won't get the automatic notice, so enable the setting manually.
- PrettyBlocks is not affected. PrettyBlocks blocks route through the widget renderer and bypass the single-instance guard entirely, so you do not need this setting when using PrettyBlocks blocks.
- Leave it off if you don't need it. On a standard theme the guard prevents accidental double display, so only enable this when a page builder is actually suppressing the message.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Delivery message still missing after enabling the setting | Confirm the delivery date is actually configured for the product (a product with no matching rule shows nothing by design), and clear your page cache so the change takes effect. |
| The setting is not visible in Compatibility | The option is available on PrestaShop 1.7 and above. On PS 1.6 it does not apply. |
| Message now appears twice | Your theme was already rendering the message correctly, and the page builder adds a second copy. Turn the setting back off — you only need it when the message is missing, not when it already shows. |
Frequently Asked Questions
My product page uses a page builder and the delivery date does not show at all — why?
To avoid printing the delivery message twice, the module renders only one instance per product page. Some page builders create a placeholder and then render its contents in a second pass, which the module treats as a duplicate and hides. Enable **Advanced → Compatibility → Enable multiple instances on Product Page** to lift that limit. This setting requires PrestaShop 1.7 or above.
Do I have to edit my theme or add a hook manually?
No. The fix is a single toggle in the module's Compatibility settings. There is no need to edit templates or add hooks by hand.
Which page builders does the module recognise automatically?
Creative Elements and AP Page Builder. When either is active and the setting is off, the module shows a reminder on its settings page with a one-click link to enable it. Other two-pass builders can cause the same symptom and are fixed the same way — you simply enable the setting yourself.
Does this affect PrettyBlocks?
No. PrettyBlocks blocks render through the widget interface and are not subject to the single-instance guard, so this setting is not needed for them. See [Widget & Page Builder Integration](./widget-page-builder) for PrettyBlocks placement.
Will enabling this cause the message to show twice on a normal theme?
It can, if your theme already displays the message correctly. The single-instance guard exists precisely to prevent that. Only enable this setting when a page builder is suppressing the message; leave it off otherwise.
